Cino Zucchi is a really great Italian architect of our time – I visited only one of his houses in Venice, but it seems that the rest of his works are also fantactic: simplicity, professionalism, and a kind of silence. And some more: have you ever seen such a simple and at the same time professional homepage like this?
Some cool quicktime video clips from upcoming Bruce Bickford DVD releases. The guy never ceases to amaze. (Thanks Kevin!)
A bit later than usual, but I think it was worth the wait: Binghamton, NY, May 1st ’74.
And now for the points of the Swiss jury:

This one’s for my pal Juan. The challenge: to ogle at a woman’s buxom chest undetected for as long as possible. The 10 second barrier, I’ll have you know, has proven to be a mighty tough one to overcome. Yourself?
Not only does this article about how “America is simultaneously the most professedly Christian of the developed nations and the least Christian in its behavior” raise some good points, I also found it inadvertently funny. Hurray for ZFT!
… and there was much rejoicing as The Imaginary Publisher and The Good Doctor successfully installed the Apple iSight webcam!
Yes indeed folks: it is now possible for you to bust my balls about the wiki chatwise while looking me straight in the eye — provided you have a webcam and an AIM account. Ain’t technology a thing of wonder…
Been outta the loop a few days, sorry about that. Meanwhile, the big news is that some 52 Zappa albums are now available on the Apple iTunes store. Steve Jobs must be a fan then…
(Thanks Danny & Tanner!)
Kevin of Diseased Wits passed on the Book Meme baton to me a couple of days ago. You can read my responses over at moonbug dot org (which is basically the place where I post whatever doesn’t fit here). I would be interested to know which books you guys have been reading recently…
Well, all I can say that this is the time for festivals here in Hungary: after one in the country, called Valley of Arts (just finished today) another one starts: it’s the Sziget (Island) Festival – said to be the biggest one in Europe, held on a big island, as you might know it. Starts on on wednesday – will you be here? (Zap Mama and the Woven Hand will!)
Oh yes, and there will be Cosmik Debris, the Zappa-tribute band on thursday!
Here’s a little brainteaser, reportedly written by Albert Einstein who claimed 98% of the world’s population could not figure it out. Maybe you can?
There are five houses in a row in different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The five owners drink a different drink, smoke a different brand of cigar and keep a different pet, one of which is a Walleye Pike.
The question is — who owns the fish?
Her private life, the rumours on the concerts and the conspiracy theories: read it all in Pickle magazine.
