… and the immortilizing honor of posting the 5.000th comment goes to none other than our favorite Reekin’ Burt, aka David Walley. Congratulations buddy! No prize I’m afraid, but a plug for your excellent book “Teenage Nervous Breakdown” should suffice. :)

Being a bit late to the party, I’ve decided to give Google Ads a try on these pages. I settled for a pretty unobtrusive ad-placement (they’re below the “Recent Chatter” box to the right). Does this mean we’re only in it for the money? Well to the degree that, yes, we do have bills to pay and a gentle click every so often from our esteemed readers could help in doing just that (wow, that came out very subtle!). We’ll see how it works out.
Speaking about bills, this morning I went to the post-office to pick up my Barfko-Swill package. Thanks to the Belgian customs services I had to shell out an extra whopping 25.32 € (!!) just to get my sweaty hands on it. Got home and started listening to “Joe’s Domage“. It’s still playing but, from what I’ve heard so far, it ain’t half as bad as some had made it out to be! Stay tuned…

At the small chance that you hadn’t come across this already: Has Been — William Shatner’s new album as produced by Ben Folds and featuring, among others, Adrian Belew. You can listen to some tracks here (via evaristo). A classic in the making, I say.

This morning at KUR headquarters: a slight headache, pungent cigar remnants and some very entertaining 3D Bush animations. Oh, and looking up the correct spelling for “pungent”, along came this.

“When composing, would he go straight to drawing notes on music-sheets, or would he use a piano/guitar and hum along until something good came along? How much of his compositions were accomplished during rehearsals, and how much was defined right away on the “drawing board”? To what degree did FZ’s “sidemen” contribute to the tunes?”
Questions, questions…
