Losers

March 16th, 2004 • Barry's Imaginary Publisher

Lots of browsing fun at losers.org, where I came across such gems as Big Truck Love, 80s guy and Allen Chung’s Palace to name but a few. Someone should submit these people to their database though.

Enormous Penis

March 15th, 2004 • Barry's Imaginary Publisher

TBN rides again! Parts Two of FZ KPPC DJ and FZ BBC DJ are awaiting your download. Also make sure you check out the DaVinci’s Notebook selection - an acapella act that performs such titles as “Internet Porn”, “Enormous Penis” and “Liposuction”. Yes: barbershop singing is alive and kicking (and it has, apparently, an enormous penis).

zirp…

March 13th, 2004 • Bertanya

Originating, i guess, around some image processing projects, to my mind there are a number of amusing and interesting avenues to be found at the zirp site. Relax and peruse, if you have the time…

Zappanale #15

March 11th, 2004 • Barry's Imaginary Publisher

Alright, so who’s planning a visit to this year’s Zappanale #15? A meet-and-greet among KUR readers would be great, so drop a comment if you’ll be attending what has to be the coziest FZ-festival this side of the globe. We’ll (most probably) be there!

…is here again. It seems after the beautiful she wanted to make something ugly. “Unit is my middle name.”

In the past week I’ve been hit with over 300 referrers from this bootleg links page. Some interesting stuff there to look into, although I’m not quite sure about how legal it all is. (Oh and erh: hi there incoming traffic - nope, no boot available for now, carry on please)

The Heineken remover, supposably for all intensive purposes. But don’t take it for granite.

free speech, free trade…

March 7th, 2004 • Bertanya

We all know how the usa is enthusiastic about free speech, but, as a non-american, i’m always increasingly surprised when i read how the usa is not so enthusiastic about free trade, and wonder at the how the eu can happily respond, when so far as i know, it is as much a part of the problem. But fairer and more intelligent solutions are i believe possible, though it can be difficult to know where to start. And if the free speech advocate i listed above is too keen on a trans galactic conciousness, here’s another advocate from canada.

The Empire Strikes Back

March 6th, 2004 • Barry's Imaginary Publisher

I’ve had to put the tracks for the latest offering (Paris, 17/9/84) offline. Why? Because a disgruntled idiot by the name of Isaac Baranoff (email), aka ThingFish24, keeper of The First Amendment, and overall Genius, decided it would be fun to hotlink directly to all of the tracks on the zappa.com forums, where he added: “Download it now before Adolf “Barry” Hitler’s bandwith is all used up!”. As of today, I’ve made it impossible to hotlink .mp3’s hosted here, but of course by now the damage is done. At 28GB, with a 30GB monthly limit, I can’t but put the tracks offline. Just one thing. There is one person running this website. There is one person paying the bills. That person would be me. If I’m not satisfied by the quality of posts made by someone I myself allowed to post here at HP in the first place, then it is my friggin’ right to kick that person right out again as I please, which was the case with Isaac. If for a couple of weeks, you can’t download anything, you have him to thank for it. Let’s all say: Thank you Isaac!
