  1. Isn’t Ho Chih Minh City also the prosthesis capital of southeast Asia, Balint? So, in an odd, strange way it does have something to do with Frank Zappa doesn’t it:

    TO ARMS! TO ARMS!
    Hooray! That’s great
    Two legs ain’t bad
    Unless there’s a crate
    They ship the parts
    To mama in
For souvenirs: two ears (Get Down!)
Not his, not hers (but what the hey?)

  2. Badminton? Nothing to do with Zappa? I thought this site was for people who knew their Zappa!

“We didn’t talk about sports much, though he did like a game of badminton,” says [Dweezil] Zappa.

Now we know Frank Zappa played badminton. If he was aware of foot badminton you can be sure he would have written a song about it.

“Alright folks – the secret word for tonight is ‘Foot Badminton’.”

“Your Stinkfootbadminton put the hurts on my nose!”

  3. Thanks for the link Birdman.

“We didn’t talk about sports much, though he did like a game of badminton,” says Zappa. “But I don’t think he’d be upset that I play golf. For my dad, the ultimate disgraceful pursuit would be becoming an A&R man at a record company, and the second-worst would have been a lawyer. Golf is harmless by comparison.”

But, hey, no one Zappa freak knows everything — that’s why KUR is such a great crossroads of everything that is FZ!

  4. From Golfonline.com

“Apparently, that Aquarian Age share-and-share-alike thing isn’t genetic.” David Weiss

That’s a new one. What crap.

  5. from Golfonline — Dweezil Stick

“I don’t get too angry when I hit a bad shot, and I don’t get too excited when I hit a good one,” Zappa says. “That’s the only way I can play, and it’s the way I approach life: I expect the absolute worst all the time, so when something good happens it’s a bonus.”

from FZ’s Cadillac Extravaganza — Zappa Wiki Jawaka:

Don’t expect friends, don’t expect fun, don’t expect a good life, don’t expect anything and if if you get something, it’s a bonus.

    An interesting convergence of thoughts…
