This is a wonderful picture. This Raggedy Rabbi, this Haggard Hebrew, reminds me of Max Weber’s painting of the Talmud scholars at the NYC Jewish Museum, which I also adore (regrettably here only in schwarz und weiss):

Hmmm. It may be because I’m on Columbia University network and we have a subscription.
How about this for a link?

I am so sorry about this picture equivocating; apparently posting it to my pseudo-blog has not helped matters.
I apologize for wasting everyone’s time. For the record, the painting is called Talmudists and it was done by Max Weber and is housed in the Jewish Museum in New York City.
I’ll just twiddle my thumbs and wait for Buffalo to arrive.
