  1. Ello, ello, ello!! Ow ya doin’?
“Friday November 11, 2005 – Forest National, Brussels (Belgium)”
(nudge nudge, wink wink) Got the hint? Got the hint?

  2. Balint!! “Tuesday November 22, 2005 – Budapest Sportarena, Budapest (Hungary)”
    Start saving HUFs!!

  3. …huh, yes, the two most important countries are there: Belgium and Hungary ;-) … By the way, this Arena is one of the biggest places here… The YES, Britney Spears and others could fill it – but Paul McCarney couldnt (if I remember well). I hope these 2 Zappas also can! But still dont know what to expect. How about you?

  4. I just had a look if I could book tickets. And no I can’t. Yet. Brussels or Düsseldorf would be my choices …. well well.

The ticket prices are exorbitant, if there is such a word. come one. 40-50 Euros? A ticket? I don’t want a buh-lowjob-ba from any of them. Just listen to the music!

  5. I’d give these guys some credit. I don’t know their music but i’ve heard they are very good musicians and they are entitled to play Zappa’s (as much as any other good musician).
I agree tho with Houdinination, the prices are too high. It’s gonna be difficult to fill the Arena…

  6. I wonder if any of the musicians that had troubles with the ZFT are going to play with them..?

  7. So this is the zft plan – starve us of releases from the vault (roxy dvd etc.), so we have enough money to pay these outrageous prices!

  8. Well, but you don’T have to stave – read the whole ad! It also announces Trance-Fusion! (Okay, not much, but at least something. Finally.)

  9. Even more curious: no official announcement at zappa.com – yet. Keith-The-Webmaster’s been outta there for quite some time but you’d reckon the new girl (yes, it’s a girl, or so my sources tell me) would be on top of this. Not so, apparently. Funny how the ZFT seems to happily rely on non-commercial websites such as this one for its PR. I demand an interview!

  10. The Zappa family is no different from the rest of the Music Biz. They’ll charge whatever prices they think they can get away with, and they’ll exploit ‘fans’ as much as they can. That’s why they restrict releases – in order to tease us and stimulate demand so we’ll pay up for whatever eventually comes out. A legitimate marketing strategy in the capitalist system!

I doubt if Mrs Xorg and I will be going to the Dweez/Ahmet concert. Including transport it’s going to cost us about 120 GBP. Not really worth it – I’m happy to remember the FZ concerts I saw way back when. However, if the band were to be of the 1973-ish vintage, I might be tempted!

  11. Well yes, Balint, of course there has to be an official product to promote with the tour. I expect we will also see a release from the younger Zappas at around the same time. I agree with Xorg – FZ was never shy about using using all the frightening little tricks science has made available for the promotion of product.

I look forward to reading your interview Barry!

  12. So that explains why I never got a reply from Keith and why the torchumuk.com never got the ready made update with pictures from the real show which I delivered years ago. I guess they probably hated our rendition of Thing-Fish, after all.

  13. PLEASE, MAKE ME JUSTICE!!!!

I SUFFER SIX MONTHS OF OFFENSES AND PUNCHLINES, BUT NOW IS OFFICIAL AND I WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE THE NOTICE IN DECEMBER 2004. I DID IT AS SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE ZAPPA FAN BUT I ONLY GOT SARCASTICS LINES!!!!

  14. Justice! Justice! A round of justice for the house (i’ll pay the bill…)
Don’t worry, if it’s about the above, most of the sarcastic is aimed to my inaccurate translation, not to you. The rest of the sarcastic is probably aimed to the ZFT (see the reasons in the first comment). Now, if you’ve been receiving in your email box, during six months, sarcastic lines/offenses/punchlines, just let us know, and Barry will punch everyone of those bastards in the nose, one by one.
Btw, Sarcastic is good for your health; i always take two in the mornings, with breakfast.

  15. it is expensiv, even in switzerland ( sFr. 85.00 / sFr. 113.00 / sFr 146.00 = € 56.00 / € 75.00 / € 98.00 ) but, i have to see those guys again (dewizell played on 1 concert with his father in zürich for 1 song )
after what i read on the “offizial” site i shud have to go to more then 1 concert, if the play different set’s, but for this it’s far to expensiv.

    MUSIC IS THE BEST

  16. I’ll be there in London,Brussels and Düsseldorf
    Prices are high hotelcosts also.
Flo and Eddie they will be there in London! Other places?

  17. Flo & Eddie are supposed to be present throughout the tour from what I gather.

Visiting three venues though El Falcone! Judging from your nick (which, in my infinite wisdom, I have come to label as “He’s From Spain”) you’ll have to travel a lot, plus pay for hotel expenses AND the actual tickets! Them venues better be good then I reckon! :)

  18. El Falcone…Might be from Spain, but from an Italian family (El Falcone= El Halcon in Spanish i guess??)
