This inconsistency is pretty ‘normal’ for FZ, IMO. It shows how his sense of marketing conflicted with reality… The “How We Became the Mothers” story is simply that – a story, with only a modicum of truth to it. Frank was good at that, “shaping” facts to match his preconceived notion of merchantability. He was a better marketer than he was a guitarist.
