…I don’t know much about dancing…

I was impressed by Zappa’s microphone technique so I gave him an 87.

okay, lemme just take this opportunity to say it: WTF?

Yeah, he really didnt want to be there, see him lowering his head when giving his sarcastic replies. It was a riot to see him not want to dance though. WTF was up with that guy who plugged “Shiek Yerbouti”?

Frank was there for the anthropological study.

I couldn’t make it through to the end- everybody dies, right?

>WTF was up with that guy who plugged “Shiek Yerbouti”?>
Maybe he tried to sound “cool” and “hip” and wanted to show the freaks of the world that he wasn’t so, uh, plain. Or, it was a cocaine decision?!

I saw this when it was originally broadcast. I had it on audio tape. This was more or less the same time as his appearance on the Dinah Shore show when he lambasted the disco scene. So I was hoping he’d be more dismissive of the Dance Fever goings on. Thanks for posting this!

Eep.
Of this are scary dreams made - i yi yiiii!
Never mind hating being there, I’m not sure he’s all that AWAKE in places - in which case, bravo! Those Nuremburger-with-fries screams of orgasmic acclaim ( for the composer of “Disco Boy” ) are surreal too - did these folks just not HEAR the lyrics?
He’s finally forced to get down & get funky with the other “celebrity” guests ( & who can possibly forget DISCO MAMA? ) … just freakin’ hurtful. Hope they paid him well.
Now THIS is anthropology!

tee-hee
Ok, a good study in th biz; pandering is way of life…
But what’s with the 30 sec’s of dance? You’re supposed to judge the duos chemistry from that?
Shiiiiit. Gimme ‘Dirty Dancing” (and leave Jennifer Grey’s nose ALONE!)…

Wow. I made it to the end. Dance Fever was created by Merv Griffin.

Probably promoting Shiek Yerbouti
He’d do anything for 50 bucks.

This is hilarious. All Frank had to do was show up, and Dance Fever was transformed into an absurdist project.
