The vhemt dudes obviously aren’t zappa fans, ‘cos they would have to think that fz was just an excessive ecological footprint consumer, and that listening to fz records was an ultimately pointless passtime. Not things an fz fan would be likely to think. I think a more technical counter argument to their thesis might take longer to explain, but would amount to the same ideas.
