  1. Actually, I think that this could count as a slow weakening of a wall … first google gets in there, then things start a-leakin’ and before your know …

  2. Does anybody REALLY believe that the U.S. Govt doesn’t already have whatever information it wants from whoever it wants it? Or ANY government in a “free” country, for that matter, because people living free (mostly) don’t give a shit about their privacy unless it is violated in a most obvious and painful manner. Or is it just me and everybody I talk to who doesn’t expect or give a shit about privacy? I’m not a conspiracy-monger, just somebody who is over whelmingly glad to have had the inestimable good fortune to have been born here and now, as opposed to there and/or then (that’s ANY there, or ANY then). I know, things aren’t wonderful everywhere, and indeed things are not wonderful here all the time, but think how fucked up it would have been to be born 100 years ago.
As far as the internet in China, it’ll most likely have the same effect as the fax machine did in the former USSR, i.e., a deadly one to the Communists.
Yes, it’s fucking cold here, and it probably has affected my brain, but WTF.

You’d have to be an asshole to believe otherwise.
