More info on the upcoming QuAUDIOPHILIAc release: “[it] debuts previously unreleased performances, both live and from the studio, of compositions such as “Rollo” and “Venusian Time Bandits,” and features experimental multi-channel recordings from Zappa’s basement, as early as 1970. The DVD-A includes tracks from Sheik Yerbouti, Shut Up ‘N Play Yer Guitar and Orchestral Favorites superbly mixed in surround.”

Midrange Accountantant (MA): Excuse me. Mrs. Z?
Gail: What? Who is that? Where are you?
MA: It’s me Mrs. Z, your ever vigilent midrange accountant.
Gail: Well, speak up, will you? And don’t sneek up on me like that? Did those shoes come with the diploma?
MA: That’s a good one, Mrs. Z, actually I don’t have a diploma yet.
Gail: Well, you sure as shit got the sneekers! What is it anyway?
MA: I’m sorry to bother you, but I was counting the official releases.
Gail: Don’t you have anything better to do? Did you run out of beans?
MA: Another good one, Mrs. Z. Actually, I think I’ve discovered a discrepancy in the official release count.
MA: I hope you’re doing this on your own time.
MA: Actually, no, Mrs. Z. I feel it is my duty to perform a periodic review of the official release list.
Gail: I’m surrounded by nitwits.
MA: Here’s my query, Mrs. Z. “Halloween” was official release #71. The jacket of the newly released QuAUDIOPHILIaC says it is official release #74. I’m only aware of “Joe’s Corsage” being released after “Halloween”. We’re missing an official release!
Gail: to be continued…
