Farewell ZGC

“I’m ending Zappa’s Grubby Chamber, not from oppression but because of the sheer difficulty of physically transporting myself to and from the distant radio station very late on Friday nights, and retaining my health and sanity.
Too bad, because there are lots of unexploited ideas for the show. But I have to focus on my actual job.”

Kevin L. Hoover tells us that tonight is the last ZGC show (more details on his weblog Crush All Boxes. The show starts at 10 PM (Los Angeles time); details to listen online, here.
Good luck in all your endeavors and keep in touch Kevin!

  1. Thanks. I love you guys.

I’m almost there in terms of being able to justify doing a podcast to explore the many show ideas I never got around to.

I so want to do that.

  2. Is Kevin suggesting that transporting himself to a distant radio station to promote the Imperial has begun to weigh heavily on his health and sanity? Hmmmm. Too bad. I, for one, will be sad to see him and his eclectic show fade out after tonight’s show (it took me look enough to configure my computer to tune into his show in the first place). What’s left? Zuppu radio? Shit, now I’m really depressed. Time for some refreshing Purple Lagoon (the Micheal Brecker sax solo always lifts my spirits).

Best of luck with all your future endeavours, Kevin.
