I have always noticed in a lot of FZ’s radio shows, he seemed to play a lot of punk/new wave, which I myself loved. I notice he played UK Subs on a few of them, he must have liked them, and Lene Lovich as well. I recall him mentioning Nina Hagen in an interview once also..
I wonder what FZ’s attraction was to music I would think he felt was the most musically devoid of all genres? Perhaps his professional tastes did not influence what he liked on his own time.

There also was a radio show in Hamburg maybe, 1974, when he showd his favorites, includig Beefheart, Varése and Bob Dylan. There was around 40 songs he played, including his own. Unfortunately disappeared when my winchester died.
It’s interesting htat he doesn’t speaks too much about music - at least it seems so. Just a few words, and then the song.
