MST3K
I really miss the glory days of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Here is a complete list of Zappa references made on the show.

Damn non-Americans! MST3K was an amazingly funny and original show. The basic premise involved an experiment perpetrated by the two evil scientists who sent Joel (and later Mike) into outer space and then force him to watch some of the worst movies ever made. While Joel was up there he built three robots for companionship. When you watch the show you see the movie and at the bottom of the screen you see the outline of theatre seats and the shadows of Joel and the bots. During the movie Joel and the bots provide a non-stop string of jokes and obscure references. Before and after the commercials they would perform skits that usually had to deal with the movie they were watching that week. Funny, funny stuff…. you will just have to take my word on this one. Why this show got cancelled is beyond me.
