Porno Soundtracks

What happens if you put three professional musicians in a recording studio and … have them watch porn movies?

While you probably begin imagining strange situations, these guys made it a creative venture. They created a new soundtrack to the 70ties adult movies they were watching – turning off the sound and just letting their instincts come up with vivid musical imaginations. And it worked.

Have a listen.

  1. Rather boring music, maybe they should have used drugs instead of watching old porn?

  2. Original porno soundtracks and b-grade adult italian movies from the 60s had fantastic soundtracks… maybe not great musical complexity but a certain vibe and feel that is pretty original. Its unfortunate that they can be hard to dig up without actually go to the movies.

Be interested to check this stuff out because its a cool idea.

  3. They should introduce the skin-flute to that soundtrack.
    To give it some lift.
Maybe it would “inject” some life into the music’s womb.
Possibly it could penetrate the . . .
    okay, that enough!

  4. Reminds me of the Beastie Boys “The In Sound From Way Out”, except with penetration. Who is the chick on the cover?

  5. Didn’t Robert Fripp discover that “Lark’s Tongue in Aspic, Part…” was used for some porn movie, which therefore caused him to be quite…severe… about copyright infringement (not that there’s anything wrong with that…)? I seem to remember reading that in a magazine article about “Beat the Boots”, and the intent behind it…but I could be wrong.
The last porn I saw was from the early ’80’s, and had a soundtrack that sounded like a cross between Gerry Rafferty (remember “Baker Street”?) and DEVO. Lots of electronic drums. Not so good.

  6. The soundtrack for “Emmanuelle” plagiarized Lark’s Tongue, so Fripp sued them. The case was settled out of court in Fripp’s favor.

  7. Nice one Weirdomusic — downloading as we speak. Nice bio’s too! This one for example:

We’re Jan and Wilma Turkenburg, better known as “De Zwervende Keien” (That’s Dutch for “The Drifting Boulders”).

    Jiskefet? 😀
