Voodoo Child

When Tallan “T-Man” Latz was 5, he saw Joe Satriani playing guitar on TV. “I turned around to my dad and said, ‘That’s exactly what I want to do.'” Three years and countless hours of practicing later, 8-year-old Tallan is a blues guitar prodigy. He’s played in bars and clubs, including the House of Blues in Chicago, and even jammed with Les Paul and Jackson Browne. He has a summer of festivals scheduled and has drawn interest from venues worldwide.

The kid’s a genius. Awesome.

  1. This kid is really going to be amazing when he grows up and discovers the true meaning of the blues.

  2. I remember an interview with Michael Schenker where he said: “It isn’t hard to play Jimi Hendrix, it’s hard to BE Jimi Hendrix”.

Let’s wait till he grows up IF there’s something interesting there. Right now he just sounds to me like a kid who studied really hard. I applaud his determination, but not yet his talent.

  3. Obviously has studied the masters, and has talent. I sensed a certain hollowness to his playing that I would attribute to his lack of experience in life.
