I haven’t seen this in a long time. Very funny.
I enjoyed the wiki link, as well.
Interesting, Borge (a child prodigy) started piano lessons at age two!
Barry and Sharleena, maybe it’s time for some lessons for the little one?

A quote from Hugh:
We just let him loose on the keyboard. Sometimes what he produces sounds like John Cale, other times it sounds like Charles Ives or even VarĂ©se! Then there’s the odd occasion where the rest of us get headaches…

Natural ability is one thing, personal discipline is another. Growing up my son had a natural ear for music. He could easily reproduce anything he heard by ear (even some Zappa parts which I found quite incredible). But, he never had the discipline to stick with it. And unlike my ex, I never believed in making learning music a chore. I’ve seen too many people (and children) lose their love of music because of being forced to practice boring and monotonous scales day in, day out, for weeks, months, and years. Yes, it might produce a competent musician, but a soulless one, too. Oh yeah, I forgot to add that my son is now the front man/singer/bassist of his own low rock band.

A quote from Barry’s Imaginary Publisher:
Ha!
There’s been a request for drums this holiday from one of my offspring. At first, I thought this would be a bad idea. But then I remembered FZ started as a drummer. So, why not?
A quote from urbangraffito:
I look forward to the release of “The Return of The Son of UrbanG!”.
Rock on, Son of!
