Hello Uncle Beat viners, here we have the full 2006 Zappathon programme on one CD, for those who didn't get to rip this programme live or who couldn't get it later on from the WUSB archives. 13 hrs of continuous Zappa radio programme, interspersed with the occasional fund raising pledge talk. Most of this copy is in 80 kbps MP3 format as it was ripped live. Some parts that I missed live (beginning & middle part) have been downloaded afterwards from the WUSB archives and patched in (128kbps MP3 tracks) just to make this show complete. Nothing's missing now. The full programme is split up into 27 individual segments of 15 to 50 minutes each, in that way that the longer talking parts can easily be skipped over. Well.... Thanks to Vrnzr he is such a nice guy that while awaiting for 2006 he has sent me occasionally two previous Zappathons i.e. 2004 and 2005. As I said before I didn't know of such thing it exist. I launched it yesterday, sat down and started to listen to it just like it would be right now and here radio program. Oh boy! I was won all over! What an experience to listen to such a radio show....filled with talks on Zappa and only with his music - a real treat, mcCoy and a rarity!. The songs segue is awesome and I would or could never made such compila not to mention speach parts . What curiouses me even more is that while I was listening to it I had an impression I have heard these songs for the first time in my life, or I haven't heard they have such moments in them!  Of course I was not able to go patiently through all of this yet and made mostly casual listen, but for sure I will be listening to it more becasue it is a goodie This is really a fine thing to have such a big program dedicated to the one and only!
