Hello everybody, my name is NoPlasticRobots, and Iv'e been catching some flak lately regarding my polls in the forum. When I make them, I don't really intend for them to be taken that seriously, which it seems that they are. I just get a question in my head, think of some answers, jot em' down, and post it. I figure most people will answer closest to what they think or feel. I'm sorry if I've upset anybody by not putting enough options for answers. I know I seem like an asshole posting this, I'm honestly not trying to be. This doesn't regard any particular post or anything like that. So, I'm going to try and post a weekly, Strictly Critique Poll, with options a' plenty! Sorry for any upset.

'S no problem, Plastic (can I call you that?)(grin) I enjoy the polls. They're fun, what the hell! The way I see it, if you don't like 'em, don't vote, if you think you want to express an opinion you go ahead! It's not a presidential election!

Iv'e been catching some flak lately regarding my polls in the forum. When I make them, I don't really intend for them to be taken that seriously, which it seems that they are.
Aw dude, no one is really bitching about them... Maybe your taking them too seriously.
I happen to be a pollmeister for another group - the format is a bit different, but the goals are similar. It is a thankless job, NPR; and a lot of the time you generate nothing but the odd bitch. I think you're making a valid attempt and I admire that.
The advice that the KUR team gave regarding polls is sound, and bears repeating:
- Make the poll-question clear and complete
- Give appropriate/relevant multiple choices
- Add a little explanation to your poll in the "Message"-field.

The poll you created just prior to this regarding the "classical" influences was also a good one. I was whining back then because I'm not all that familiar was FZ classical influences, but bro, that's MY problem - not a problem with your poll.

I'm sorry for busting your chops, NPR. But, I'll tell ya, if you plan on doing this weekly, you just may want to add a couple of layers of skin. Here's another helpful tip from one who's been there: don't try to create your poll online. Jot the idea down before you post it; you can play around with it that way.
