Well, maybe it could be too late for posting that here... well.that's what I should say. I simply don't have my own pc here in rome,so IT?S ABOUT THREE YEARS that I read about all this posting live fz shows but I can't do nothing but be hungry. I have all the official cd's and also sixty or seventy live made by zappa-friends,but I would like to ask you if you can do me just one ( or two... ) favours, even if I have nothing to send to you... I just miss Manchester 79 about I read so well and maybe Stuttgart or London 88. (I said only two,so I won't say nothing about London 82) Well if you want you can test my love for fz!

Ok, found something for change, five-five-five.
Zappa in Guitar Player, October 1995: FZ: "It's in 5/8, 5/8, 5/4. You count it like this: One-two one-two-three, one-two one-two-three, one-and-two-and-three-and-four-and-five-and. GP: "How would someone approach that without feeling as if they had two left feet?" FZ: "It's a very guitar-oriented piece because of the way it uses the open string. So it's kind of an easy thing to pick-up on the guitar, in spite of the odd rhythm. As long as the numbers involved tend to frighten you, though, then the odd rhythms are not your meat. Don't worry about the numbers - you just have to worry about what the feel is. Whem I wrote that particular song I never even stopped to figure out what the time signature was. I don't worry about that when I'm playing the guitar. If I'm writing it for an orchestra, then I do. But I don't calculate how things that I make up on the guitar are going to look on paper or how it's ultimately going to be. I just play it and then figure out what it is later, after I've recorded it".

At the time being, this is really more of a question than a request. Right now, I'm in love with the song "Blessed Relief" (from the Grand Wazoo). Does anyone know of a live performance FZ played "Blessed Relief" at? I looked through my bootleg library, and I can't find any performances of this.
Thanks, mogul man

Hello, I am rather new to this board, and I am quite interested in aquiring some of the past friday boots that have been posted on this site. Would anyone care to trade, or simply burn me a cd/dvd? I have a number of Zappa boots that I would be more than glad to trade. I am especially trying to get boots from 71'-76'.
Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!!!
thank you all very much.
Daryl

You're probably wondering why I'm here
|
I just saw "Zappa plays Zappa" in Brussels. It was a great show, Vai and Bozzio were awesome, but the whole time I was waiting for Flo and Eddie to come out, and they never did. Now I found out through your website that they were never signed for the tour to begin with. But apparently you posted a live bootleg from a show in Toronto from the early 70s featuring Flo and Eddie, sometime last summer. Any chance you guys might post it again ? I just discovered your website by the way. Hearing those boys hit the high notes together and morph their voices on the Toronto bootleg would sure compensate for not seeing them with the Zappas. And by the way, I'm not even sure if Ahmet Zappa was there. He was never introduced so I assumed he wasn't even present.
