Howdy folks, I think it is about time we had something like a central place where we could gather some information on what particular Older Friday Boots some of our newer forum members might be interested in, so - why not have them post their request(s) right here in this thread, the so-called Old Friday Boots Request Board. If you want to have an overview to what's been available on KUR Friday Boots so far, you can look up the Friday Boot Archives, list the shows you're after up here and look for some response. Some of the older Friday Boots are already available on Uncle Beat, like here or there ... I would suggest to the kind people willing to offer more of those old shows to put up individual vine threads in Uncle Beat as usual and only post a link to them here, just to help us avoid any confusion once these offers get accumulating, thanks... and then everybody interested can sign up to these individual vines. So, please, no vines in this thread. Also, I don't think there should be a limit (upper or lower) to the numbers of shows requested individually, as it will be up to the offering person anyway to determine which combination of shows requested will conveniently fit onto a CD-R (or DVD). He might also want to combine shows requested by different people. So, if you see the shows you requested ending up on different vines, go sign up to each of them, take your pick and send each copy onwards respectively. Let's see if this has some potential (non-commercial, of course) - any comments and discussion as to how to optimize this are warmly appreciated. With the Friday Boot Archive building up and more new members joining this Forum, I do believe we need something of a tool like this Board to handle the upcoming multitude of possible requests efficiently ... Lastly, I think it is a good idea to have this Old Friday Boots Request Board permanently up front in the Uncle Beat section, so I would like to ask our Genteel Moderator some technical assistance and help turn this thread into a "Sticky Topic" (if you agree ...). Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, since I have been stirring this up, why don't I begin with a few requests myself, for starters, right here: I'm particularly interested in two shows I have missed downloading lately: - 88-04-19 London, Wembley Arena (posted July 8&15,2005) - 78-10-15 Stony Brook early (posted May 20,2005) So, if somebody out there might want to include these two shows in a future vine ... Many thanks in advance!! -- vrnzr

I have a request! Two actually...first there's Santa Monica, Dec 11, 1980 - Second Show! I read the interview on Zappa.hu and my curiosity is piqued!
I am also interested in hearing his show from a few days earlier...the night John Lennon died - December 8, 1980.
If somebody would be so kind as to re-plant the Santa Monica vine, I would do a backflip. I will hurt myself in doing so, but that is the price I am willing to pay.

For any show that's not in a vine yet - please feel free to post a request and look for new vine offers coming up. It's maybe a good idea to check this list every once in a while as I am planning to have it updated regularly, on a monthly basis, roughly. Hope this helps ... Corrections welcome.

... and, yes, I do have another two requests:
77-12-31 Los Angeles 'Punky's Whips Shown On Stage' and 'Pigs'n'Repugnant' (As I don't know which version had been posted back in 2003, I'd go for any version.)
Anyone? Thanks ...
Thanks, SinisterMidget, for your Wembley 1988 offer.

I have a request! Two actually...first there's Santa Monica, Dec 11, 1980 - Second Show! I read the interview on Zappa.hu and my curiosity is piqued!
I would love to get a hold of this santa monica concert for two reasons: * It's great to hear so many of the SUAPYG solos in their original context, especially Soup & Old Clothes. * On my tape version of this concert, the guitar is slightly faster than on the SUAPYG disk, which I'm hoping is due to tape speed issues. -zootooz

Try this: Jumbo Go AwayDon't be surprised, it's a page in Hungarian, just click on this: "Kattints ide a fájl letöltéséhez" Or if you wait for 10 sec, it will download automatically. Have fun! B
