I noticed!

Yeah, although I think Flo and Eddie were fairly good musicians they were mostly a comic foil.  And then to go on to Strawberry Shortcake.  It boggles the mind!

although i'm not a big Flo & Eddie fan, i've voted Yes, but there should have been a Sometimes option!
I have contradictory feelings about them, some days i don't like them, some days i love them...

I'd tend to vote, if the polls were in the least coherent - which hasn't been the case.
I mean, what the hell? Flo and Eddie: yes or no? What the fuck is that?

I got the idea for this stupid poll after watching 200 Motels the other day. I said to myself "I wonder what everyone else thinks about Flo & Eddie..." Now, if you like them, you check "Yes", if you don't, you check "No", or, if you're like most of the people that signed it, you thought they could be funny sometimes. It's not the fuckin SAT's. It's just a stupid little poll.

I've noticed you enjoy the polls, NPR  Wink
I appreciate your efforts in making them. Perhaps it's good to give a couple of guidelines regarding the creation of polls, which goes for all members:

- Make the poll-question clear and complete
- Give appropriate/relevant multiple choices
- Add a little explanation to your poll in the "Message"-field.

Keep on polling!

Flo and Eddie were more than mere comic foil... Sorry.
I'm not really big on them, and their schtick as far as the comedic element, in FZ's music. But they were/are incredible musicians when it came to the human voice.
I don't think any less of their musical contribution than Bunk's or Ian's or Don's.

Just Another Band From L.A. is one of the greatest rock'n'roll albums ever made.
The version of "Call Any Vegetable" on that LP completely blows away the original studio version, to my ears.

F&O suck, but they do maintain a significant place in the FZ lore, so they get that much respect. They aren't exactly Zappaphiles tho; Flo hisownself said in the FZ forum that he is totally unfamiliar with the FZ work that came after F&E left the band. Harrumpf!

i just can't get the idea out of my head what these two old coffin dodgers are going to look like doing the flo & eddie material....i wonder how new fans without any prior knowledge of zappa will react to it and even older fans who knew the material well, will they got the shock of their lives at flo and eddie creaking about the stage  and then the lyrical content on top of that. I'm not into ageism, victoria principal would still get it no problem but i think this could be a sight to behold.

on another note, what did the leper say to the prostitute?

keep the tip  Grin
