Awright folks, did you all enjoy the Zappathon 2005 ??
What a great show this was !!...
Now I'm sure some of you have managed to rip this programme as it was being webcast, so I'm afraid this is not for you...
For those who didn't get to rip this or missed hearing parts or the whole thing and who are impatient enough to endure this cheapo quick shot version of Zappathon 2005: Well here it is, all on one MP3-CD.
Please note, that this here version is highly compressed to a mere mediocre 48 kpbs, and definitely no match to what was being offered in
last year's edition - sound quality-wise. But I think it still offers enough listening pleasure and will maybe make you even more curious for the de luxe version
announced by our friend SOFA for some time later.
So here's the deal:
To make it reasonably snappy for everyone interested I am going to send out two copies, one for Europe, one to North America. I'd like to start the European vine with Sharleena who was kind enough to put me in first place for last year's Zappathon, and the American copy would go to Sofa to begin with.
EURO-vine : vrnzr >> Sharleena-BE
US -vine : vrnzr >> SOFA-US
Any more takers for this kit'n'kaboodle ?
The CD will include:
- the full 12 hour Zappathon as one mega-track (266 MB)
- the full Zappathon, sliced up into more digestible chunks of about 20-40 minutes each, so it'd be easier to move on to the next bit of music.
- a tracklist in Excel format which obviously isn't complete yet. Thanks for any comments and/or corrections to that list, be it on this board or in private...
- And as a bonus I'll throw in a piece of FZ Radio Interview from 1979 - The Robert Klein Hour. Frank is making some delightful comments and explanations on his then newly released Joe's Garage project. It sure helps
me finally understand much better what this whole Joe's Garage plot with all it's twist and turns is all about. And believe me, there
is a conceptual link to at least one part of this here Zappathon programme. You'll have to find out where ...
I just got this item in FLAC format and put it on here as is; please do not publish/circulate in MP3 or other lossy format. Thanks.
Enjoy!
