The Frank Zappa Memorial Barbecue
« on: March 12, 2005, 04:57:01 PM »

FZ aficionados who want to contribute to the ARFZB (“Another Real Frank Zappa Book”) project, are allowed to demystify their feelings, frustrations, worries, rants, raves, and wishy-washy topsy-turvey experiences (whatever that means), about the many books and articles that already have been written about FZ...

What sources do we trust, what sources do we reject…?

Shall we invite "serious" writers to contribute to our "open source" project? Will they be crazy enough to do so?

This has been my sugestion from the get-go.

I'm not referring to the "website-guys", but to the "real" writers, the guys that published books: Ben Watson, Kevin Courrier, Neil Slaven, Greg Russo, ...

The "website-guys" have their data online already, which I think would be able to transfer more easily, and which would lend the sort of credibility to the wiki that might give the "real" writers the desire to have their work associated with it...

If you're talking about albums, you must also consider the different versions of many of them. I mean, WOIIFTM was completely re-done for the CD. Frank remastered Peaches for Hot Rats.
