Within the great pool of Frank Zappa and related websites on the internet, there are still a few Zappa website not related to Frank and his music.

What does a guy do with a fast internet connection and time on his hands, he starts collecting stupid things like Zappa but not Zappa links. Grin May the farce be with you...

Ever heard of ZAPPA-zwerfvuilactie?
Here in Antwerp they have a letterword for ZAPPA.  In Belgian it's called: Zwerfvuil Actie Plan Provincie Antwerpen.  My English isn't that good to translate that but I think it's funny.  It's all happening this weekend.  The kids at my school are going to collect garbage on the street (just cleaning someone else's goodies), that's what this is all about.  And Frank... I'm so sorry I'm in this whole ZAPPA-system!  It's the job...

Games People Play, Part I

Fancy a game of... chess? Well here’s ZAPPA CHESS...

http://volker-pittlik.name/zappa/zappa.html.

"Zappa is a standard chess program, which is to say that is an alpha-beta searcher using nullmove forward pruning, various extensions, and a heuristical evaluation. Unlike most amateur programs, Zappa can run on multiple processors with a reasonable speedup. The program is written in C++, although it is not particularly object oriented, nor does it use a great deal of STL code, inheritance hierarchies, virtual functions, overloaded operators, or other C++ wizardry"...

"Zappa is not named for the great Frank Zappa, or at least not directly. Frank rather quixotically named his daughter ‘Moon Unit’, and Mike Myers used this in Austin Powers 2: there is a scene where Dr. Evil talks about how he has divided his moon base into ‘Moon Unit Alpha’ and ‘Moon Unit Zappa’. I had just finished reading a book by Bruce Pandolfini, ‘Chess Openings: Traps and Zaps’, and I thought that Zappa had a nice sound to it. I have never actually listened to a single song of Frank, although I am quite fond of several of his quotes."

"Zappa is an electron who is constantly looking for ways to escape. He lives in dangerous places like frayed power cords or fallen electrical power lines. Zappa is very friendly and useful when he stays inside his electrical circuit, but if he gets out, he can be extremely dangerous! Try to find all the dangerous situations in the Zappa Trakka game."
