here you are:

the "f" guys:

http://www.grammy.ru/mp3/F.bands

and from here the Really "F" guy:

http://www.grammy.ru/mp3/Frank%20Zappa%20&%20The%20Mothers%20Of%20Invention.songs

(Check  out Roy Harper from this site - his album "Stormcock" is the greatest (just to mention one). No one knos him - he's one of my favorites. On that particular album Jimmy Page plays a duet with him on acoustic guitar.)

Why don't you buy the fucking albums instead of stealing them?

Thanks, Chris; my sentiments exactly...
Really no class bunglescarousel. Why come by honestly the things that are out there honestly?
And some of you whine about Gail and her law suits, and stifling the music...
Peeeeeeuuuuuuw!
There's the "reason" for your hatred - right there...

OK, sorry, you might cancel my earlyer answer - I usually give that link to friends who are interested in FZ's music - it's a good place to start, and I don't think one won't buy a ("fucking") record if he really gets involved in it. But there must be a place to start. I sometimes even lend CD-s to friends, and I don't ask them whether they make a copy or not.

So this is a question that can be discussed - maybe in this more open forum to the public, it's not a nice thing to share this info? I don't know. I might be wrong. Sorry if I hurt anyone, I didn't mean that.

Don't know about Chris, but the question bothers me more than the answer does... You, Balint, merely answered a question.

There's a great, murky, "gray" area involving what we Zappa fans do to satisfy our craving for FZ's music.  Everyone has their own little "morality line" that they do not cross in respect to this...
For me, bunglescarousel's question crossed that line. His/Her question was not "I'm looking for some rare, ureleased Zappa", nor even "I want to discover more of FZ's music; where can I buy his releases?" The question was "[where] was a link to an mp3 site where it had a lot of zappa albums to download for free"? To me this really says "where can I go to get something (that, if I really had respect for the man and his work, I should pay for) for nothing"? And I think that's lame...

No, it's not a good site. It's a very bad site... Those recordings have all been officially released. They should be paid for, not given away.
A good site would not give away this music. A good site would possibly have samples from which to make a decision whether or not to purchase the recording.
No this site is bad - very, very bad.

Okay, maybe the thief "gets involved in it", maybe the thief decides to actually purchase (the right thing to do) some FZ releases. I'd bet that the thief doesn't rush out to replace those 'free' recordings.
The place to start is at a legitimate music store, and paying the artist, or his family, or whatever, what is due for the priviledge of owning their work. Even artists that promote or allow trading of their unreleased material, do not take kindly to people helping themselves to their work. It simply isn't right.

Like I said, everyone has their own little "morality line". And I see nothing wrong with you lending CD's to your friends... But what that site is all about is wrong and I think bunglescarousel is wrong for wanting to download legitimate FZ releases for free.
And I bet that I'm not alone in this feeling...

Same here, of course.

(Bungle, Balint -- offense was not my intention -- sometimes statements require a "fucking" to elicit serious deliberation. Suffice to say there's no way around considering it as theft if one downloads copyrighted material in lieu of purchase.)

On a lateral note, i read the other day how russia only recognises copyright since 1973. So i guess freak out, downloaded by fellow russians, at least shouldn't freak out the authorities.
