Ted finally got to hear Wazoo, and it is absolutely fabulous  Shocked

The sound quality is great, almost unbelievably good for a 1972 recording, the performance is outstanding, you can hear all the little filigran interplays and the mistakes -  Cheesy

If anybody wants a sneak preview while your copy of Wazoo is still in the mail, then point your browser to http://linkyourstuff.blogspot.com/2007/12/fz-wazoo-2007.html

I don't have much time to listen to music lately since my wife is pregnant again, but I did find an hour and half to listen to a show thats been sitting un-heard on my hard-drive for a while:

1984-11-23  Chicago Late show .

If you like 1984 shows, you will enjoy this one. The sound quality is very good, it sounds like a SBD, but you can hear the audience pretty good too. Could be an FM? However, the set-list is extraordinary; Two (for me) unique songs I hadn't heard before from the 84 band: Cocksuckers Ball and WPLJ; a very powerful Black Page#2; fantastic vocals all over the place, especially in Lucille Has Messed my Mind Up and Carol, You Fool and very strong and tight playing throughout.

The highlight of this show is the 18:00 minute solo-vehicle Let's Move To Cleveland aka Kreegah Bondola, or as this version is dubbed, Kiss my Volcano. There is just so much to listen to on this song: the solos themselves, what the rythym-section is doing alongside and with the soloing instruments, and a brilliant guitar solo from Frank himself with some nice musical-dialogue between him and Scott and Chad. I can see why Frank kept this rythym-section for so long.

By the way, the secret word for tonight seems to be: Broccoli.

I am going to have to listen to this boot again, if I find some time...

I got a new pod thingie and it is a real one (apple) with 80 gig of space so now all of my concerts are in one device at one time.
Of course I gotta figure out how to put them in the order that I want them in- not he order IT wants me to put them in- quite frustrating.
