Ah, the familiar sound of lonely person devices...

Ok, we all know Dweezil's a great guitar player, and Ahmet a great host of robot wrestling, Moon's a great author, but what the hell is Diva up to? I know she recently made some album with Tipper Gore on drums, but I can never find any info on it besides a small article on some website. So does anyone know what Diva's up to? She seems to be the only Zappa who isn't working (although I'm sure she is...)

Who are you? I live here. I live here. That's my name too. Were you ever not living here? I don't think so. Nah, I was in a drum.

Diva Zappa made an album with Tipper Gore on drums?? You gots to be kidding! Can you post a URL here? Other than that, I have absolutely no idea what might be occupying her days...

Here's a couple links explaining Diva's endeavours:
Article on her song:http://www.cnn.com/1999/SHOWBIZ/News/12/29/showbuzz/
And a page with a Real Player version of the song!:http://ahmetdweezil.tripod.com/
Sorry about that, I should've posted the links the first time.

what the hell is Diva up to? The last I read (and this was over a year ago) was that Diva was doing what none of the others had done - or even considered. She was enrolled at college. There's a black sheep in every family, I suppose. SOFA

Thanks for posting those links! Let's all hope Diva stays in school... I gotta say, I was a bit offended by the lyrics. Of all the purient swill, Diva is almost quite literally prostituting herself for some guy to kiss on New Year's Eve. Thank goodness she makes it clear that it's a post-pubescent male she is after; I'm sure we all know the lyrical significance of "when the balls drop". And I found Tipper's drumming patently obscene! I hope the release carried the proper warning sticker... As a parent, I feel that's important. SOFA

I'm not sure why "When the Ball Drops" won't work for you....it's worked fine for me many times. In fact I'm listening to it right now. Although the first time I was linked to it, it gave me an error message. But I think that was because it was a direct link to the song, and not the page. Maybe try again later?

Thank you for the link, spfcmct, it was enjoyable to see what Diva is up to. I see some of the piquant surrealism of her father in her. I will have to check out the music links posted here by NPR as well.
