soooo Im a woman so Ill just add some spice in this thread by saying I actually have no clue why there seems to be such a gender gap in FZ fans. Mabye someone hit on the surface when they talked about the humor just being the first turn off. Mais, Actually I wouldnt have listened to FZ if I hadnt had a really crappy boyfriend who listened to him. He enjoyed some of the *ahem* dirtier lyrics but I dont think he actually ever listened to the music. Live at the Phillmore East made me fall in love with FZ and decide to throw out the jerk and keep his record collection. When playing FZ for the first time for someone I usually play a piece that I think would be more fitting to their personality to get them ya know acquainted with the music before throwing in the harder stuff I could be more specific but Im loosing the point. The point is that I dont think its a gender issue but a personality issue that makes people reject music they deem as difficult.....So yall take that for what you make it

Wow my first post and someone actually agreed with me (and a higher up im guessing) Oh yeah Wendy O. The person who gave me MY first  zappa vinyl (LG) also gave me a Plasmatics record to go along with it. And can I give a shout out to my homies from TBN (if yall read this) it took me awhile to catch onto KUR but this is a very bitchin place to be....

There's no higher-up's or lower-downs in this place... Cool

Yo yo yo WFU!  Smiley I hope you'll find this place a good one to dwell in. It's sort of like TBN, only we got, like, ...smilies... and stuff.
Glad you found us!

Indeed..."higher-ups" would negate Zappa's motif in the first place...

("Homies"?)

Hey!  Glad you found the place.  It is indeed a bitchin place to be.  Don't forget TBN, tho, it's gettin' pretty quiet over there.  (I thought I recognized your writing style!)

Okay, I gotcha!  If there is anything I am not it is short! Wink

Yo yo yo, I'm all up in that. Okay? THANK you. Y'know what I'm sayin'? I know THAT'S right!

Okay, so maybe I type better like the Thing-Fish than a stereotypical rap sort of person...

Ship ahoy?
