"Artistes" I don't like; Madonna, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Bros, Bucks Fizz, Bon Jovi, Poison, Phil Collins, Cliff Richard, Ian Andersons voice tho' I like Jethro Tull's early stuff, Level 42, T'pau, Happy Mondays, Black Grape, well thats all I can think of for now.

Ouch.  I'd venture to say this band could be superlative in a number of categories.  Gotta love them uniforms, though - great color scheme.  I betcha they were bummed out when they discovered the "Yellowjackets" was already taken!  The "School Busses" just didn't have the same kinda zing to it.

Moving from one color scheme to another...yeah, Twisted Sister was pretty obnoxious in their own right.  They didn't take it seriously though; for them it was a big joke where they could earn a few bucks.  What's more, Dee Snider testified along with FZ and John Denver against the PMRC, so that gives him bonus points in my book.  I thought I read somewhere they changed their name to "Bent Brother" (get it?).  No, I'm not making this up!


I usually become violently nauseous when I am confronted with the contestants on "Star Search" or similar shows.  There's a monstrous wave of bullshit permeating the airwaves in Germany lately.  There must be a show like this on every other channel.  These folks perpetuate the myth that making music can be done well by anyone.  Oh well, it just goes to show that people will eat anything if it's packed in the right container.

I got into KISS coz they looked mean, I was only 7 or 8 at the time, they made that "great" movie, with the robots and such. And, would you believe it, I just got a copy of it today. I love bad music maybe more than good music, it's only fz and the total crap that makes me laugh out loud.  Jim Steinmans hopeless Bad For Good, awful, yes. Great, definatly, well, let's say, I'm glad it exist's

Steffan Denis, also another contender, and, if anyone has seen the village people movie ( lordy, I'm sad!) , the song ' I love you to death' is an absolute anti-classic.

  QUEEN Why? Well in the UK at least their lowbrow music is considered by the masses to be something to aspire to. So when the crap radio stations aren't playin' boy band pop for the teenies and rap crap - they play some Queen as their idea of satisfyin' rock fans. No you can't touch that dial! its rammed down your ears in taxis, supermarkets,...even hospitals... oh & also Oasis, Blur,Bob Geldorf...most English bands (BRITPOP they proudly call it)

I bought the first Kiss album when I was 16, the day after they appeared on the Mike Douglas Show.
Same here - actually a few months prior to the MD Show... I remember the first listen. Ya know how Black Diamond has the ritard at the end with the fade out? My LP had a skip right there. Now I was admittedly stoned during that listen, but I swear I sat there waiting for Black Diamond to end for a half an hour, before I realized it was skipping...

Fellow UK residents will no doubt recall with great fondness (not) a loveable boy/girl duo called DOLLAR.
After terrorising the UK radio playlists with sugary nothingness for an unplausably long time they eventually split to persue solo careers.
Rumours that one of them ultimately metamorphosed into 50CENTS remain unproven.
