I got sent an e-mail today which contained numerous examples of double entendres which have been broadcast on British TV and radio.
\nHere’s a few examples:-
\nA news anchorwoman who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed but hadn’t, turned to the weatherman and asked “So Bob, where’s the eight inches that you promised me last night?”.
\nMichael Buerk, (a rather staid BBC news presenter) watching a live link from an outside broadcast of a female colleague and a male astronomer during coverage of an eclipse, remarked “They seem cold out there, they’re rubbing each other and he’s only come in his shorts”.
\nJack Burnicle, sports commentator, talking about motorcyclist Colin Edwards tyre choice during a race: “Colin had a hard on this morning in practice, I’ll bet he wished he had a hard on now”.
\nChris Tarrant (presenter of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”) being interviewed about the shows first \u00a31M winner, Judith Keppel: “She was practising “fastest finger first” by herself in bed last night”.
\nJames Allen, sports commentator, interviewing racing driver Ralf Schumacher:
\n“What does it feel like being rammed up the backside by Barrichello?”
\nPat Glenn, weightlifting commentator: “This is Gregoriava from Bulgaria. I saw her snatch this morning and it was amazing”.
