Hi. My name is Mr. Nice. As you can see I haven’t got any arms or hands. Would you like to see me dance?

It is Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. I’m not sure which song it is but I am pretty sure it was used as the theme song for the Dating Game or the Newlywed Game or the Newlydead Game or one of those goofy game shows of the ’70’s.

I think it could be the Casino Royale theme tune. If not then it’s very close.

It’s the “Tijuana Shuffle” by Herb Alpert and it was indeed used as the theme for the Dating Game.

This does not preclude it from being used in Casino Royale…
But it was the theme to the Dating Game - and I’m positive of the title as my dad had the LP in his collection. (one of the coolest in my dad’s collection… Wait, he had the first BS&T album too.)

And in the absence of fresh meat/fresh garbage forums, I’ll use the comments log to give this a definate fresh meat rating. I like the tijuana sound, and am also a fan of James Bond themes. (2 records i had as a kid). This combines them both, so definate fm.

Yes, bertanya, despite HA&TTB songs being used so frequently for various commercials, etc., their work still sounds fresh and peppy. FM indeed.
