If a sense of deja vu occasionally wanders your way, after a while shouldn’t this become kind of predictable. Sort of – must be due for some daja vu soon. Of course the perceptions, and associations which cause this strange state are not always any better understood/resolved for having an eerie feeling to accompany them, but nevertheless, it is interesting.

Wandering over to the fz official site a few days ago, apart from a seasonal banner pic, i found a chat transcript with denny walley i hadn’t read before. The discography of his fz contributions is certainly an interesting set of records, notwithstanding various magic band contributions.

Of course, it can be believable that ‘You get nothing with your college degree’, but if you enjoy the course, does it really matter. The syllabus looks a little up tempo, but the listening list shouldn’t drag too much. This particular course is on the life and music of fz, do you think it is preparatory for a philosophy course on his lyrics and ideas.

…and not only that, it offers an alternative which sounds more interesting. Generally speaking, it’s a pity it’s in boulder colorado, however is does have a streaming audio facility, which by coincidence was playing ‘reggae bloodlines’ when i tuned in, so i switched the reggae off from the stereo, and listened in for a while. Can’t help thinking maybe it’s time to get the pc wired into the stereo.

Friday was a day for good spirits in the world of zappa, even before the days of the friday boot. These tales of friday nights at chez zappa, have a melancholic uplifting quality. Although the Zappas haven’t kept track of exactly how many pieces they’ve produced over the years, each time they sit down at the potter’s wheel their love of their craft comes alive. “throwing is still the favorite part of the process for both of us”.

Not so long ago, brave souls were able to risk life and eyebrows with the aid of a handy dandy how to guide, from the adroit pyro-maniacs of internet land.
