They’re missing a note in the main riff?
Otherwise not a bad Make a Jazz Noise cover. Not my favorite version for sure.

Not my favorite version, either.
It’s nice to see someone playing playing
Zappa music however.

As a saxophonist, I really dig this version. It’s very difficult to acquire Zappa’s music transcribed for tenor or alto sax (I often have to transcribe the individual songs by ear). But wow, real musicians playing really good music live! Can’t beat that!

Sleepy, boring, safe and of top of that Zappa never put a fucking chorus on his guitar. Uglyness at his best.

I really like this song. It is a beautiful melody even if the solos aren’t that complex. Not to say that these guys can’t solo, but of course the zappa versions are better (official and unofficial).
And I don’t think I have experienced a boring version of this song, except when the solos get to complex and messy. But maybe that is just a question of listening them thru a couple of times.
Props to these guys (n girls) for keeping old FZ alive.

I saw the band live in Brussels a little while ago. Quite a show. Liked it a lot.

Just to let you guys know we enjoyed the comments. By the way, we only rehearsed this song twice the day before so it wasn’t really as tight as it should have been and it was only our second gig.
@ Pierre, I really don’t give a toss whether Zappa used a chorus or not. I do!
(on that track anyway) so…..smell my beard!
