Albuquerque ‘81
It’s been a while since we featured a Zappa show from the ‘81 tour — come to think of it, we haven’t had many of those around here altogether since the Friday Boots saw the light of day some four years ago! To make up for that, here’s Albuquerque, October 11 ‘81: sound quality B+ and a whopping 22 tunes for your downloading pleasure, no less. Go eat some bandwidth. Enjoy! With thanks to Gilles, as always.

Beside of joking, if you could help me, Barry, I’d be very grateful, maybe! :)

Great boot! Great sound! BTW the venue for this concert was the Johnson Gymnasium, University of New Mexico (UNM) - for those interested in that sort of thing.

Charles Ulrich’s giglist says this:
A quote from Barry’s Imaginary Publisher:
A keen ear, Speedy!

Don’t give me too much credit, I haven’t even listened to the show yet!
I was only going by the fact that it was Albuquerque, New Mexico and was in the right time frame.

BTW, the opening track is Treacherous Cretins, not Deathless Horsie.

Speedy, the Man From Utopia version comes from the Carbondale, November 15, 1980 show.
