For those of you interested in a slice of authentic Bongo Fury, this week’s boot should be a treat: Boston, 27 April 1975 (Early Show). The Late Show (which differs greatly from the Early one) will be featured next Friday. Enjoy!

A very dynamite boot, Barry! FZ & the Captain, together…makes me wish I had a pair of bongos…now, wait a minute, I just happen to have a pair within arm’s reach…how about ‘The Black Page’ on bongos? It’s Bongo Fury!

Watch out for the drumming of young Terry Bozzio. His playing is rich, wild and loud - much better that in later ‘75 and ‘76 - I really like his double kick-drums and heavy beats, especially in Pound For A Brown and I’m Not Satisfied (at the chorus). Thanks for this show! (I like the sound of this lineup, a much better album could have been released from their work than Bongo Fury.)
