This is OT (not really!), but I didn't know how to send Barry an email:

National Recording Registry Picks Its Top 50 for '06

James H. Billington, Librarian of Congress, has just announced the latest selection of 50 sound recordings destined for the National Recording Registry. Among those added this year are Mamie Smith's "Crazy Blues," the Jimi Hendrix Experience's "Are You Experienced?" Frank Zappa's "We're Only in it for the Money," and the first trans-Atlantic telephone conversation, among others.

Under the terms of the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000, Billington is responsible each year for selecting recordings that are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." Registry recordings must be at least 10 years old. Wow, what do you have to put on your resume to get this gig?
