- Mother! - Michael Gray:
None of us here have even read it, as far as I can tell. That must count as an indicator of some sort...

Well I have it...and read it...and maybe I shouldn't.......it's all in the phrasing of topics you are already aware of, (70's for me) which elevate or amplify issues for the author to say something and often gives an irritating slant or sensationalised feeling about events......

The Real Frank Zappa Book is far more interesting to me, true or not in places...still fun enuff to be totally engrossing.....and love the lil cartoons

Sorry probably to late Balint

Thank you all again - the publisher said he'd also like to publish

Electric Don Quixote

He'll check it out. But he seems to be opened to any good solution, any good book - for a not too long period of time, since he has to make a final decision soon.

So if anyone still has a much better idea, I'd like to hear it!

Thank you again!

Do yourself a favor and avoid the Michael Gray book. The author comes off like a magazine writer who was turned down for an interview by Frank in the '60s and has a chip on his shoulder; he doesn't even seem to like Frank's music.

Thank you all!

before the publisher gets the contract and starts the whole thing we'd like to read the book (Electric Don Quixote), but we are soooo unprofessional...

Where do you think it would be the best place to order it? How fast do you think they can send it to Hungary?

Or:
do you think it would be possible if anyone would have a bookstore near him/her, and wold buy it, while we'd send the money to him/her?... If I get a bank-account, I can send the money immediately...

Errr... what do you think?

I think if you are planning to translate and publish it you should contact the publishers (Omnibus?) who will probably give you a few copies to work from if they think it is a worthwhile project.
