Does Humor belong in Music

Apparently all that gets an audience in todays music market is American Idle rejects and Marilyn Manson clone bands... Humor isnt understood by the average 14 year old concert goer.

I agree.
I can't barely mention bands that incorporate humor in music these days: mmmh, Weird Al... Somehow, Ween? DaVinci's Notebook, an excellent band we've got to know thanks to Sofa. I can't recall any other currently.

Yet again, i'm not sure if Zappa's sense of humor was entirely understood in his days, much more by your average 14 year old concert goer...

Well My name's TRASH and I have been told that I sound like Frank Zappa meets Motley Crue. I have absolutely no commercial potential to coin a phrase. I'm not Frank and I don't take other people's music and change the words like Weird Artless Al...

I do have a Stand-Up comedy fused set with stage performances of some bizarre things that vary show to show. My CD is called The BLATANT TRUTH and here's a sample:

Live In My Car

Well I ain’t no fuckin’ criminal
And I don’t own me a gun
Each day I live on less and less
Till I’m whittled down to none
I got nothing left to sell
Ain’t no fit the mold Rockstar
So tell you what Fuck you clowns
I’m gonna go live in my car

Live in my car
Bathroom’s outside, bedroom’s in the back…
Live in my car
Ain’t gotta website, hell I ain’t got jack!
Live in my car
Thank ya Dubba-ya for this American dream
All I can say is
Fuck you Clowns!!
You make me wanna scream!

Ain’t gotta rich boy in the band
And no celebrity kids
And tell ya what Mr record exec
My girl won’t suck your dick
I don’t give a fuck what you think
Or who you think you are
So tell you what Fuck you Clowns
I’m gonna go live in my car.

Live in my car
Bathroom’s outside, bedroom’s in the back…
Live in my car
Ain’t gotta website, hell I ain’t got jack!
Live in my car
Thank ya Dubba-ya for this American dream
All I can say is
Fuck you Clowns!!
You make me wanna scream!

All I can say is
Fuck you Clowns!!
You make me wanna scream!

NOPE, sorry never heard this song, however I doubt its anything like my song which sounds like electric bluegrass from hell. Also, the D.R.E. (Drunken Redneck Ensemble)make their appearance on the song offering slurred backing vocals and several belches. I'm not much for any music that is playable on ....gasp... COMMERCIAL RADIO.

PS CLEAR CHANNELS IS THE DEATH OF ART IN MUSIC BREAK YOUR RADIOS!!!!
