Hi Flypool, welcome to the forums!  Smiley

If you're looking for the Apocrypha set, check out this thread at Uncle Beat. That vine has been dormant for a while -- I suggest you contact one of the last people to respond on that thread, and ask if they can send the discs your way.

Note: to subscribe to a vine like this means that you will be responsible for forwarding the discs to anyone subscribing after you.
2  The White Zone / Uncle Beat / Re: Kill Ugly Radio's World Tour on: May 09, 2008, 01:40:05 PM
The book is now officially lost, as far as I can tell...
3  The White Zone / Uncle Beat / Re: Kill Ugly Radio's World Tour on: March 24, 2008, 02:40:07 AM
According to the US Postal Service, it's too early to say for sure, but the World Tour Book may now better be known as the "Lost" Episodes. Here's the latest Poop:
KUR World Tour - The "Lost" Episode.
Well, that sucks, of course.

Many thanks SOFA for doing all you can to retrieve the book, and remember this is something your are definitely not to blame for. Heck, with all the packages we've sent eachother via the mail over the years, things have always gone smoothly -- guess it was just a matter of time before the US Postal Services would fuck one up...

Let's just hope it's an Episode!

Oh, and I don't think Amber will be getting the Employee Of The Month badge anytime soon...

Great, nay, EXCELLENT to have you back among us, LCS!!! We sure did miss you Smiley
Now then... does this mean you'll be posting at KUR's weblog again?

Welcome back!

Barry

Define "rock 'n roll"! Wink

Oh well, I'll play...

* San 'Berdino
* Fifty/Fifty
* Zomby Woof
* Ms Pinky
* Apostrophe'
* Muffin Man
* Stevie's Spanking
* Valley Girl

... off the top of my head.

So what do we get with the update - apart from the spambot thing - are there any particularly exciting new features we should know about?

Perhaps not _that_ exciting but: faster performance, vastly more secure.
Also potentially useful: Extensions.

I'm sure Maroual could give more info regarding new functionality.

This is what I get...

Weird! Now I get that too. Swear it wasn't like that before! All's well that ends well, I suppose Wink

It works for me.  What does not work?

... well that url (London_Symphony_Orchestra_Vol._I_%26_II) is supposed to point to "Vol. I & II" - in fact it points to "Vol. I"...
11  Frank Zappa / Zappa Wiki Jawaka / Re: Recent wiki vandalism on: October 04, 2007, 09:17:58 AM
Hang on: seems like I solved the ampersand problem following these directions. Please poke around and test! Smiley

Update: this doesn't play well with dots in the title though (such as "London Symphony Orchestra Vol. I & II") -- but really: how many of those are there in the wiki?

1) Use an Alias directive instead of mod_rewrite; this is the simplest in most cases.
Nope. Tried this before, doesn't work. From the manual: "If you get a "500 error", it probably means alias is not allowed for you." That is apparently the case. Might write support to ask them to enable this though.

2) Use the ampescape patch to Apache (in maintenance/) to add a rewrite modifier function which can properly re-escape the ampersand.
Erh yes. Does one of you know how to "add a rewrite modifier function which can properly re-escape the ampersand"? I don't! Found a file called "apache-ampersand.diff" file in /maintenance/ that looks like its doing something similar, but how do I hook it up to the wiki?

I assumed the poodle logo was an early version - poodle looking out of page rather than into  as before.  I am off to explore and see if it was worth the effort  Wink

That was indeed an early version poodle! Fixed...

All done! I've also implemented the reCaptcha extension that Maroual suggested.
Poke around and let me know if all works well... Smiley

Okay, I've got everything set up perfectly on the test-server -- with one caveat: Pagetitles that have an ampersand (&) in them don't load properly. For instance when you type in "Roxy & Elsewhere", hit the "Go box", it stops at "Roxy", and then offers up a "yet to be edited" page.

Aah, but I just figured out that all you have to do is insert a #REDIRECT[Roxy & Elsewhere] and it shows up fine! Smiley I guess that would qualify as a solution, no?
