Heyya,,, What is all of this about Frankie leaving? See, I have just rejoined this community and have been confused about this by several posts. I Just Dunno I can't quite tell either, Dogbreath - it appears the posts concerning Frankie's departure aren't really a thread, but are scattered around the forums... I've been reading back posts, but can't quite get a handle on what's going on. Maybe the KUR team knows... I rejoined after the fact like you, so I'm not "up" on what went "down". |

Yeah, I agree on most points. The neat thing about the universe is that it's expanding, so it'll still fit even if we all gain weight. Try to find a pair of pants that'll do the same! Out here in the midwest, where obesity seems to be making a valiant stand, we call them spandex. Did you know they come in all colors? Most of them neon? Well, if you're gonna advertise, ya might as well advertise .
By the way, SOFA, it's nice to see you back here at KUR. Thanks, LCS! Yeah, they tell me I'm doing much better and they're slowly allowing me to mainstream a bit now and then. If I stay good, they said I could have fork priviledges by Christmas! One baby step at a time, tho'... SOFA |

Oh, I understand that you never said the music was in any way related to the cover, but I still wonder if the songs are in some way connected to the chosen cover art. I think the music is very much related to the cover...
References to things out there -- nebulae, for instance -- simply refer to the universe, which is, according to Frank, "one size; it fits everyone."
I mean, what more do you need? I think his title - One Size Fits All - deals directly with the "universality" of certain mortal truths, or precepts - like sex, trust, belief in a 'higher' power... In that respect, creating a 'star chart' for a cover depicting the 'universe', and calling it One Size Fits All, is about as all-encompassing as you can get. I can't seem to find one common theme among all the songs on this album, some of them don't even make sense to me (what is "Andy" about, and for that matter, what is "Inca Roads" about too?) If you wanna believe Nigey Lennon (and in this case, I do), Andy is about her... Andy has to do with the 'universal': Trust. Inca Roads deals with the 'universal': Belief in God, or some kind of superior intelligence - as does Sofa (both cuts). Can't Afford No Shoes deals with the 'universal' of social status (social class exists in all societies, even if it's abhored on the surface). Po-Jama People deals with the 'universal' of inferior intelligence - and how to deal with it... Evelyn...deals with superior intelligence - and how to deal with it... San Ber'dino and Florentine Pogen deal quite specifically with the 'universal': boogie - and how to get down with it... So there ya have it, gramps. Every song on the album "framed" by just the concept that you couldn't connect - 'universality': the inexplicable "truths" that bind us all. And in our case, Ones Size does indeed Fit All. SOFA |
