16  The White Zone / The Phoebe Snow Chill Out Room / Re:KUR board upgraded on: June 05, 2002, 12:40:14 PM
Ugh... *cough cough*
Ahem, well, as you can see the forum has not only been upgraded, it has also been moved! The reason for this is quite simple: the boards were hosted at killuglyradio.dreamhost, and since I'll be getting rid of that domain in the near future, I moved the whole shebang to killuglyradio.com.
All should be fully functional except for some of the avatars you may have chosen (you know the little images you have next to your profile). Some of those avatars got lost in the move, but I've uploaded a couple of new ones from which to choose.
If you encounter any problems, please do let me know!
Thanks.
17  The White Zone / The Phoebe Snow Chill Out Room / KUR board upgraded on: June 05, 2002, 12:55:48 AM
Hi folks,
this morning the board was upgraded to the latest version, which is supposed to make it faster and should take care of a couple of bugs that were inhere (I'm not referring to any of the posters  Grin)
Anyways, all works as it did previously. Should you encounter any weird stuff happening boardwise, let me know.
18  Frank Zappa / Strictly Critique / Re:Polls..polls..polls.... on: April 29, 2002, 01:28:14 PM
NPR: check your instant messages, and check your KUR-board status. You are now the Official KUR Polling Master. This means we'll be expecting Polls from you on a regular basis. Are you up for this?  Wink
19  Frank Zappa / Strictly Critique / Re:The Phlorescent Leech and Eddie... on: April 25, 2002, 12:57:26 AM
I've noticed you enjoy the polls, NPR  Wink
I appreciate your efforts in making them. Perhaps it's good to give a couple of guidelines regarding the creation of polls, which goes for all members:

- Make the poll-question clear and complete
- Give appropriate/relevant multiple choices
- Add a little explanation to your poll in the "Message"-field.

Keep on polling!
20  Frank Zappa / Hot Plate Heaven / Re:And now for the next question on: April 17, 2002, 02:10:24 PM
KUR would have to want to do so and I'd have to be co-operative. The likelyhood of those two important factors occuring simultaneously is slim indeed.
That's quite an ingenious way of putting it Frankie Grin
I for one kind of like the way you're releasing the archives ZFT-style. It keeps them coming back for more! Besides, the archives are too large to just dump them here all in one take...
21  Frank Zappa / Strictly Critique / Re:Is this poll going to work? on: April 12, 2002, 05:36:38 PM
Maybe Dr Siggy could help me sometime...
I could not place a vote; the poll does not work - at least, not for me.
I used to enjoy voting at polls like this - before the rules were changed. Now, I don't vote.
I used to enjoy posting too. But I'm having doubts about that.
Sigmund

Now now... just lay down on the SOFA, Sigmund. we can work this out...
22  The White Zone / The Phoebe Snow Chill Out Room / Re:A "yes", or a "here, here" will do nicely on: April 12, 2002, 10:01:36 AM
I notice the quotes do not have a nice box around them anymore.
I have no idea what you're talking about... What browser are you using? With IExplorer 5.x I still see boxes around quotes...
And the two last posts on the threads I have been posting on in Hotplate Heaven have disappeared.  What's the deal?
I posted a message at the old board saying "don't post at this place anymore.". Any post made after that didn't make it to this newly installed board... You can always repost though. It's been quite a hassle moving the board to this new format; I apologize for any inconvieniances...
23  The White Zone / The Phoebe Snow Chill Out Room / Re:A "yes", or a "here, here" will do nicely on: April 12, 2002, 09:54:48 AM
Not by clicking the right navbar - had to go thru the Hot Poop message...
Fixed.
What's up with the small font?
Fixed.

Side note: KUR has obtained its very own domain name at: http://www.killuglyradio.com/ so you can access the boards (and loads of other interesting stuff as well!) via that URL...

Please let me know of any other problems you might encounter visiting this board!
24  The White Zone / The Phoebe Snow Chill Out Room / A "yes", or a "here, here" will do nicely on: April 11, 2002, 02:55:26 PM
Could you guys acknowledge that you got in safely to the new board? A "yes", or a "here, here" would do nicely...
25  The White Zone / The Phoebe Snow Chill Out Room / Re:Canard du Jour on: April 11, 2002, 11:05:52 AM
Just a test from the emergency broadcasting system.
Yet another test from that same emergency broadcasting system!...

Frank Zappa and Eric Bogosian collaborated? Fill me in!
27  The White Zone / No Commercial Potential / No Commercial Potential on: March 02, 2002, 04:37:55 AM
Welcome to No Commercial Potential. This board is meant to bring together fans for trade of all sorts. Its object is strictly non-commercial! I am not liable for any posts made by any members  Grin
28  Frank Zappa / Hot Plate Heaven / Re: oh Frankie where art thou? on: February 28, 2002, 07:56:52 PM
Welcome back Frankie, glad you made it!
I'm sure you'll find this place more agreable than the add-infested, pop-up/pop-under inhabited, word-censoring board.
As for status: you're now officially a KillUglyRadio God - enjoy!
29  Frank Zappa / Hot Plate Heaven / oh Frankie where art thou? on: February 27, 2002, 09:17:51 PM
We're expecting a certain Mr. Frankie to turn up here sooner or later, to answer any of your questions. As you know from (http://members2.boardhost.com/hotplateheaven/) other appearances on the internet, Mr. Frankie gets a little grumpy at times, so we can only wait...
30  Frank Zappa / Hot Plate Heaven / Re: is this phase two of zappa.com on: March 08, 2002, 06:54:23 AM
HotPlate Heaven is going to continue to feel like zappa.com, unless someone breaks the silence and actually ASKS Frankie a question... have at it!
