Heyah,, I wish i had been on here when this thread started. I'd like to to first say that this is coming from someone who has never had money or education or status or social [or any kind of] grace, but i think the situatin was totally fucked up. it is pretty clear that Gdub had a hardon for Iraq all along. " Saddam Hussein tried to kill my daddy!" and now that its cnn is saying that iraq had no WMD or ties to alkieda or any terrorist action we again look like assholes. the fact that the CEO and most of his cabinet and about 1/2 of the the republican administration come from the oil patch is a little fishy don't you think?. Gee, i wander if there's a connection. i didn't vote for these assholes, i voted for ralph nader. i'm an american and i love it! why? we have all the phat shit over here. i live in the hood and i can still eat everyday even thoug im poor. the chances of my house getting bombed are small.though i have been mugged a couple of times and worse, but fuck it, we got cheap gas, good music and tons o land. forget about artistic culture, we dont care, because the way we got here wasn't stopping to smell the floweres, it was being efficient about kiling off the indiginous peoples and shedding blood sweat and tears to build this wilderness into civilation. priviledge is not for the weak or the strong! it is for the well-born! I hate america as much as i love it. sorry for the rant. im in a pissy mood, my boyfriend would call it 'self induldgent'. i just called him over in fact and he said i should post this garbage because maybe it will make someone think "about perspective" what an asshole |

Frank Zappa / In-A-Gadda-Stravinsky / Re:Guitar tones

Hey, cowboy! thanks for the greeting. That article has some interesting stuff, but it seems that an answere has led to another question. Q: Are there songs where you've recorded more than just a rhythm and lead track?
FZ: Yes, "Po-Jama People" (One Size FitsAll), and there are a couple on the new album that have anywhere from three to five guitar parts. "Filthy Habits" (ZootAllures) has five guitar parts; and then there were also a few multiple-guitar-part things on We're Only in It for the Money and UncleMeat
Was Filthy Habits really released on Zoot Allures? i guess that must have been on the original vinyl. i wander if it is a different version than lather...

Hey, uh, i dunno if this belongs on this page but, I was listening to the radio thing at planet zappa. It played something called 'stolen moments' I know this song from somewhere, i don't know if it;s on some jazz album I have, or i may have played it during my brief stint in university jazz band does anyone know when and if zappa did this kind of straight-ahead jazz? I wouldn't think they would misname something zappa that wasn't(unlike WinMX users!!) i am confused..any help??

Frank Zappa / In-A-Gadda-Stravinsky / Guitar tones

Hi efferyboty! I was just listening to 'the spider of destiny ' off lather. I am wandering what effect made this distinct sound. I know i have heard it in other zappa. i don't really play electric, so i'm not sure about the hardware involved even. It also sounds like it goes into slight feedback right at the end of certain phrases. Idunno, just curious. |
