Well, I could! I guess Iīd need a new password, huh?
Still in good ol' Germany? Got OSX finally? Yes and yes, but no computer to run OSX on as of yet. My old 7600 just wonīt die (thatīs a good thing)! |

Yee Haw! This here cowboy finally got himself back online on a regular basis and is ready to wrangle with the rest.
I sure did miss you old varmints! As I see, things havenīt much improved with ZFT Cheeze. Too much C&D, not enough R&E DVD...oh well, what the hell!
By the way, I welcome all newbies that have signed on during my hiatus.
Glad to be back - Giddyap! |

| Hi, folks! I am 37. My first encounter with FZ was at the tender age of 12 with a 45 single of "Valley Girl." What really impressed me though, was the B-side, namely "No Not Now." The band (especially the singers) sounded like they were having a grand olītime going completely insane! I really liked that. Eventually I got a hold of YAWYI, SY, TOU, etc. Needless to say, I was hooked! |

Ok, Im new here, One bad post is all I get right?
Hello there, and welcome to KUR. Naw, we're pretty tolerant here. Barry and the others let me type all sorts of drivel and I'm still welcome...apparently....right, guys?...hello?...uh, yeah. Never mind.
What doesn't go is "flaming" or other malicious acts of printed doo-doo. Not wanting to mention names, *ahem*ISAAC*cough* but a certain person really gave us a hard time. No matter, water under the bridge.
Concerning your video editing: I think that's great! I'm sure there are folks interested in a DVD vine, myself included. As stated in the other thread, the format issue is definitely a hurdle that ought to be clarified up front. |

Hey, kids.
I've been sitting on this one for a while wondering who will want this thing next...
So far, no takers.
It is definitely worth a listen. I was especially delighted by "Sinister Footwear" presented in its entirety (all three parts, 20+ min).
Please let me know if you want this little gem. I'll keep my eyes peeled. |

Yep. I was there: June 9, 1988 at the Palasport in Padova, Italy. The Palasport is a relatively small venue with an intimate atmosphere. My buddy and I actually got to meet Ike before the show. He was hanging out behind the stadium and we called, ranted and raved until he came over. We spent about 10 -15 minutes with him talking. It felt quite good to know he had no qualms about talking to a couple of snot-nosed teenagers. Sure, he acted cooler than cool, but he took us seriously and upon request, he gave us a couple of guitar picks as souvenirs.
You betchum! Inside I was right up front and got to enjoy all its splendor. As I understand, at about that time, the '88 band was deep in the doo-doo with all their disagreements and just on the brink of self-destruction, but nobody onstage showed it for one minute - truly professional.
No, they didn't play any of the special "let's-fuck-with-Jimmy-Swaggart" renditions of Beatles or FZ songs, but they DID play Ravel's "Bolero" and "Stairway to Heaven" as an encore. Both left me speechless. Wowie Zowie!
I've seen quite a few concerts of all sorts, but it is no exaggeration to say it was no doubt, hands down the BEST show I ever saw.
Aw, fuck! I miss you, Frankie...

Hi, folks.
This here cowboy has been out of the loop for quite a while. You can bet your powdered asses that I missed youse guys!
This topic has emerged before and it never gets easier. I, for one, have phases in which a particular FZ LP gets heavy rotation.
Lately, thanks to our Uncle Beat vines, my current favorite is the complete orchestral version of "Sinister Footwear" from the Apocrypha collection. What a joy it is to hear the whole 20 plus minutes of aural delight!
Does anybody know from which recording session this one comes? I guess the LSO sessions because it was never officially released in this form and I do detect a few rhythmic discrepancies. Nevertheless, I can still enjoy the composition for the masterpiece it is.
