C’mon. I’m not a fan of Jackson either, but…you need to crank your imagination up a bit and think about what being his age and black in the US was like on that day. LOTS of black folks (and not only black) cried.

Barry is right about the apples/oranges thing. Obama is simply a huge improvement at the right time. Thank god.

Time to wake up now and smell the coffee. Politicians don’t fix or change a thing: ordinary people do (politicians just take the credit). After 8 years of George W. and the 8 years of psuedo-republican rule of the Clinton/Gore administration, people should know by now that no politician – even Obama – can solve their problems. It’s a collective effort.

Never mind his own ideas and policies are sound, sane, and don’t favor big business.

There’s a lot of left-overs from the CFR, let’s face it, you Yankee folks is going to Iran… stayin’ in Iraq and perhaps a North American Union will be in the pipeline for his second term…

I’m sure the NAU’ll go through without resistance from the peasantry, if the Obama administration can put the *ahem* proper face on it…

I admit I cried when they announced Obama won. Then I read “The Onion” article and I laughed till I cried(pun intended).
Of course, a head of cabbage would be an improvement over “Dubya”!

Those tears being shed by Jesse were for himself. He is now completely reduced to a footnote in history. His next shot at fame might be as Big Daddy to Jesse, Jr., perhaps the next junior senator from Illinois.

The only thing that spoilt it for me was seeing Jesse Jackson in the crowd. He’s one of biggest frauds ever. Just listen to ‘Rhymin’ Man’ on ‘Broadway The Hard Way’ for Frank’s opinion of him.

Good to see I wasn’t the only one thinking about “Rhymin’ Man.” I do think this was a momentous occasion – and I can certainly understand Jackson shedding tears at witnessing history – but you better believe I was thinking “Howdy friends, my name is Jess!”
