Hey, Barry, after we down a few bottles of Moose piss, why don't we strap on our manly codpieces and stroll across Belgium singing, "Look What Love Has Done" by Chris Whitley at the top of our lungs?
Well here we are at the county jail. That was fun, though! :)

Balint, our beloved Magyar friend.

Do you endeavour to add some musical - intellectual , and most of all Global wisdom to your upcoming new CD release / remix / gulash ?
Just make use of a cimbalon.
Essential ingredient.
Here we go : ( musical instruments)

"The santoor is a hammered dulcimer related to the Hungarian cimbalon and Chinese yang qin and is used for Hindustani raga. "

Balint, just translate the " lyrics" in Hungarian & replace " motherf. " by something like Béla or the like.
Add some different music. The gulash way.

Why do we - indeed- need recipes like http://www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/ethnic-recipes/hungarian/index.htm ?
Just do it.

Don't laugh.

As a teenager ( 12 till 16 years old) I played

- clarinet in the local fanfare ( allowing me to visit & play in both Germany- Gross Gerau - & Italy- Brunico / Bruneck Alto Adige)
- and - more intersteing in a Carl Orff ensemble. I played alto & bass recorder and xylophone. I can still play Terpsichore from Praetorius not after note. Elementay, dr. Watson.
And, yes, you like that Carl or not : Orff was an genuine educator. Compare it with Nonkel Bob in Flanders or Uncle Floyd in the US, way back in the old days. It opened my ears for Renaissance music. Still rather successful, basically bacause it's both melodic and it makes use of basic regular rythms.
And - again- just listen to Gesualdo's ( 1561 - 1613) Sixth book of Madrigals, still hypermodern, right now. In case you're too lazy to look for that record / CD or you don't have much money to spend, there's the Naxos label : http://www.naxos.com/composerinfo/bio27205.htm
