I will!! The time I tried it it was on television (Canvas - a Belgian network). It hasn’t been on Dutch television so far, but I’ll check the DVD for subtitles.

Barry, I really dig these videos. The first one not so much, but the second and third were real killers. dEUS kind of reminds me of a cross between the songwriting of Bruce Cockburn and the music of Eels (another great band Mr. B has since turned me on to…)

I can tell you that Mauro is the personification of cool. I remember playing a rock rally (Westtalent, Leffinge), and how all of us competing were nervous as hell. Headliner for the evening? Mauro Pawlowski. Not a twitch, not a hint of stage fright. He entered the stage and owned it right there right then. Played an amazing set he did. Most of his “Evil Superstars” stuff is beyond me (too much Tim Van Hamel/Millionnaire influence for my taste), but his solo album is quite good. Also check “Mauro & The Grooms - Black Europa”.

Barry, that’s the least you can say. I - even looking in the mirror in the morning - still do not really understand why people endure a guy like me. Always overlooking the borders of being a self declared “old” teacher, a music evangelist, a guy interested in too much musical genres at once, etc.

You’ll hear from that one over & over again. A great artist. You know about my love for ( classical & ) experimental contemporary music. And the role of the electric guitar. Well I saw Mauro P playing a guitar solo in Ghent ( Vooruit) for 30 - 40 minutes, a kind of musical comment on drawings. Very valuable creativity.
As good as Jean-Marc Montera ( FR).

I remember trying to see Anyway The Wind Blows. Well, it looked delicious, but I (dutch) really needed subtitles for this Flemish movie. They were not provided, so I gave up after 20 minutes. Too bad.
